Short answer
A business card template is a finished front-and-back layout you fill with your own name, title and contact details. CardDeck’s suite has 133 of them, one per brand across 20 industries, in 12 print formats (US 3.5 × 2 in, Euro 85 × 55 mm, Japanese, Chinese and Korean sizes, vertical, square, slim, mini, round, rounded and NFC CR80) with 13 front layouts and 9 backs — a logo, a monogram, a QR code, an appointment card, a loyalty card, opening hours, a pattern or a photo. Pick one, apply your brand and print it or share it as a digital card with the matching QR landing page.
- Every template has a back: QR code, appointment lines, loyalty stamps, hours, a monogram or a pattern.
- 12 formats, from the US 3.5 × 2 in standard to Euro 85 × 55 mm, square, slim, round die-cut and NFC CR80.
- Each card pairs with a QR landing page in the same colours, so the printed code opens a page that matches.
- Filter by industry, format or look — light, dark, colour, foil and metal, or textured stock.
- Business card templates are available on the Free plan; apply your brand kit in one click.
Which business card size should you choose?
Pick the size people in your market already carry. A card that does not fit the local wallet or card holder gets left on the table.
- US 3.5 × 2 in (88.9 × 50.8 mm) is the standard in North America and much of Asia-Pacific. Most of the suite uses it.
- Euro 85 × 55 mm is the standard across the UK and Europe and matches a credit card’s width, so it fits every wallet.
- Japan 91 × 55 mm, China 90 × 54 mm and Korea 90 × 50 mm are the local standards; the suite includes bilingual cards with the local name set in the native script.
- Vertical cards (the same sizes turned portrait) suit names and roles that stack well, and photographers and agents who want a big name.
- Square 2.5 in, slim 3.5 × 1.5 in, mini 70 × 28 mm and round Ø2.5 in die-cut stand out on a counter, at the cost of fitting standard holders.
- CR80 85.6 × 54 mm is the credit-card size used for NFC cards: tap a phone on it and your contact opens.
Every template exports a print-ready PDF with bleed and safe margins for its size, and the same design publishes as a digital business card.
Thirteen layouts and nine backs
The suite is built from 13 front layouts — classic, centred, split panel, colour band, big name, monogram, editorial, edge stripe, Swiss grid, frame, orb, stacked and ticket stub — applied to 133 brands with their own colours and type. The layout sets where the name, brand and contact details go; the brand sets the mood.
The back does a job rather than repeating the front:
- QR code — “Scan to save contact”, pointing at your digital card so people save you in one tap.
- Appointment — date and time lines for clinics, salons, physios and tailors.
- Loyalty stamps — ten circles and “the 10th is on us” for cafés, barbers and shops.
- Hours — kitchen hours, class times or opening hours with the address.
- Logo, monogram, pattern or colour — a clean brand side for firms that want the front to carry the details.
- Photo — a full-bleed portfolio image for photographers and studios.
Change the back for any template in the designer; the combinations shown are starting points, not rules.
Stocks and finishes
Each template is shown on the stock the design was made for, from matte 400gsm and cotton letterpress to kraft, recycled fleck, linen, pearlescent, silk with spot UV, frosted PVC, brushed steel, cherry veneer and black-core or duplex boards with a painted edge. Foil cards (gold, silver, copper) render the brand name as a foil gradient.
The stock is a note for your printer and a preview on screen: CardDeck exports the artwork, and any printer can produce it on the paper you choose. Use the Look filter to see only light, dark, colourful, foil-and-metal or textured cards.
Frequently asked questions
Are the business card templates free?
Yes. All 133 business card templates are available on the Free plan. Pick one, apply your logo and colours, fill in your details and download a print-ready PDF or share it as a digital card.
Can I use a template for my whole team?
Yes. On Team and Business plans an editor locks a template as the brand design and opens only the fields each person may edit, so every card matches. Teams can also generate all cards at once from a spreadsheet.
Do the templates come with a digital version?
Yes. Every card has a matching QR landing page in the same colours and type. The printed QR code opens that page, where people can call, email, find you on a map or save your contact.
Can I change the size after choosing a template?
Yes. The designer can switch between formats; check the layout afterwards, because a landscape design will need its elements re-balanced for a square or vertical card.
